Mimi Anagli is a Michigan-based director of photography and 1st AC.

She started her career as a freelance writer for feminist film publications while pursuing a degree in Film Studies and Professional Writing at Michigan State University. A few of the publications she wrote for were agnés films, Women in
Hollywood, Directed By Women, and Made in Shoreditch Magazine. While completing her degree, she attended the 72nd Cannes Film Festival and the 2019 Toronto International Film Festival, where she interned for The Hollywood Reporter.

Shortly after graduating, she moved to Paris, France where she interned for and then worked with the Italian documentary filmmaker, Elena Rossini.

In 2022 a position with the Gretchen Whitmer For Governor Campaign brought Mimi back to the US, where she briefly worked on Whitmer's campaign team as a multimedia producer, shooting video and photo content for the campaign's social media.

Mimi left that position, as well as a four-year position as a Senior Video Editor for Outloud Media, a branch of the influencer marketing agency The Outloud Group, to focus on filmmaking. Mimi is now a full-time freelance DP and 1st AC on commercial, narrative, documentary, and TV sets. Mimi works locally in Grand Rapids and Detroit, and has done travel work in New York, Atlanta, and D.C. Some of the clients she's worked with include L'Oréal Paris, Spotify, Ford, Bissell, Wahl, and Steelcase. Mimi also holds EU citizenship and speaks French.

Mimi is available for local and travel work, domestic or international.
